1200 Rallye Sport

I have test ridden the 1250 GSA and GS
so that engine just packs a punch from low down, very impressive, the GSA dare I say felt a bit Lardy and just doesn't want to turn in. Compared to the GS that is.

The 1200 has bags of power if needed, just needs a few more revs. Going from my old 1150 (83 bop) it's like something from another planet.
I'm gonna resist bolting loads of stuff on it, crash bars will do for now and then a set of panniers ready for next years tour.

Hill start has come on a couple of times already without me realising and nearly caught me out when pulling off.
My car has it, works in the same way, just have to get used to it I guess.

i dont like the hill start, have to rev the bollocks of it to get it through the brake grab

My 1250 will release if I let the clutch out at idle.

On mine there is no need to use any extra revs.

Having had it on both a 1200 and now a 1250, the latest hill hold is loads better, and if you have the Pro option will even apply itself automatically on 5 degree or steeper slope. On the 1200 I used to either not use it at all or release it before moving off as it felt like it was going to stall the engine, so you use more revs, then it suddenly releases and shoots off - not necessarily what you want at an uphill road junction!
