1200 tank panel compatibility

i think the tank panels changed from models year 08 onwards as well as the beaks, but it's not really obvious how.

am i right in thinking they are not interchangeable with the earlier >07 items?

i tried checking by part number, but that changes with colour, and was inconclusive.

Coolie - I went through the same hassle........... brought a 2007 Beak panel from SA when I came over..... had it painted to match the new 2011 bike and it fitted perfectly...........?

Dunno about the tank-panel though........ but it seems that the actual fuel-tank is the same on the GSA - therefore would assume that the tank panel could be the same as well.

the beaks are quite different though

they might fit, but the 08> beak has a big hole in the side. the difference between tank panels looks more subtle.

maybe i should explain what i'm trying to do...

i have a spare <07 beak and tank panel i no longer need. i'm looking to find out if they fit later bikes to widen the market
