Getting on the moster 1200GS
There is a technique : if it is on the sidestand leave the stand in place and get on, then straighten up and raise the stand. If it is on the centrestand either push it off carefully with the stand down and lean it on the stand and get on or you can simply climb up on to it. I don't think that lowering the seat will help - it is the height of the pillion seat which I find difficult to clear & if you remove this it is all much easier -but rather unsightly. I am just over 6' tall and wear boots with thick soles !
None of my friends (who being French are generally smaller) would even dare a test ride ! Of course once you're on it and away it feels just right. I had an 1150 before and that was not so high. Enjoy it now that spring is here; Brian
(Fortunately my wife used to belong to an Alpine club so she manages to climb aboard while I steady the 'bike and wait patiently !)
