Guys

Need a 12000 mile service and MOT on my R1200GS. Live in Falkirk, work in Glasgow so Central Belt would suit. Motorrad Central are the obvious choice but are there any others out there you would recommend?

Cheers

If you're looking for a good indi, the man you want is Stevie Brierton Motorcycles in Dalmarnock, Glasgow. He fitted a clutch to my GS and knows his way around BMW's so i'd have no hesitation in recommending him.

Stevie Brierton Motorcycles
Unit 10 Arrol Road
Dalmarnock
Glasgow G40 3QD
0141 550 8484

About 1/4 mile from London Road Police Station and Parkhead

And, no i'm not connected in any way except for being a very satisfied customer

I went to Stevie Brierton Motorcycles with back bike failure, he suggested disconnecting it for a month. I asked him how that would solve the problem, he said i would get used to riding without my foot constantly on the brake and he wanted to bet me £1,000 that I was keeping my foot on the brake. I didn't take him up on the offer but I should have. I went to Motorrad and they told me that the brake was gummed up and replaced parts for me. I was angry with they way Stevie Brierton Motorcycles treated me......

An MOT is easy along at Jim Allan. For the Full Monty service you may want to use MC if your bike is quite new and you value the stamp in the book.

For oil, filters + plugs, DIY is OK. I went to Bricks + Boxers (or whatever) on the west side last year to get my (servo) brake fluid changed out. Spent an interesting couple of hours there.
