hi guys looking to upgrade to a new 1200 gs ,not the gsa as a bit big/heavy fo me, been on shop demo 1200gste all the toys but i fancy the enduro with spoke wheels , anyone bought this version, cant see the diferences also do you realy need esa. any thoughts please.

I've got the TE WC, and love it over my old KTM 950, so much more comfortable....but then that wasn't that difficult !
Haven't got the spoked wheels and a few on here and swapped them over, not sure what the cost would be though.
As for ESA...maybe you don't NEED it but if and when you sell it people will look for it...and you might find it tougher to sell.
I use the ESA, road and rain settings, two's up etc, i'd recommend it.
Most who order GSA's normally fully load it....

A bike without ESA is no harder to sell than a bike with ESA.

Sure there is a difference in price, but that gap is less than when new.

Some folks prefer simple suspenders as less to go wrong.

Have note tried th WC without ESA. But the WC with ESA delivers superb suspension IMHO.

I had a 2013 GS Enduro model I loved it and the standard suspension is absalutly fine, the bike still handles and rides nice, I have now however brought the GSA TE and have to say the ESA is very good yes there is a difference, so if I had to make a choice I would go for the ESA if the budget allows, if not then you will still be more than happy with the standard set up.

If you're planning to go off-road, get the ESA as it works with the different modes.
I got a base model GS and added spoked wheels, heated grips & led indicators. I have no intention in going off-road so road & rain modes are sufficient.
Only down side that when we're 2 up with luggage, it takes a helluva lot of
turns to get the suspension up, but that's not going to happen often enough to be an issue.

I know exactly what you mean, the trouble for me was I had already had a few GSA,S with all the toy's
I thought about it for quite a while, in the meantime the GSA showed it's face. So after a test ride on GSA, I come straight back to the dealers and ordered a 1200 GS with wire's a few mod's later I have the perfect GS, for me anyway

And I still have the standard seat's and pillion rail to put back on when needed, but be quick or you will end up with the GSA type heavy flywheel, I have the soon to be collectors one with the early flywheel ( see flighty):roll eyes:
Good luck there all great bike's
