1200GS engine tuning?

Anyone any suggestions on tuning the 12GS engine? Although no slouch, a touch more acceleration would be the icing on the proverbial cake. Imagine a GS with the ST/RT version of the 1200 boxer; at least it would reduce bouncing off the rev limiter in lower/medium gears......

The dyno print-outs I have of a before and after on an 1100 carb and ignition conversion show this conversion is well worthwhile,perhaps the 1200 would benefit in the same way?
