I have just obtained some Loctite 243 to lock the pannier screws. When I read the packaging it says do not use on thermoplastic   . I thought the pannier bracket was plastic??

If anyone has thread locked the pannier bolts which type of Loctite did you use, and have you dis-assembled the bolt subsequently to check that the loctite hasn't eaten the plastic bracket or otherwise damaged it?

I have looked at the loctite web site and all the thread locking product instructions tell you not to use them on plastic fittings.

Any suggestions, or am I panicking needlessly???

I haven’t had any grief with the BMW hard luggage, the expanding part is a great idea. You can fit a lid in the side as well as the top box once expanded. This is great if you want to leave your lids on the bike under lock and key. I’ve also added a backrest to the top box, which added to the pillion comfort.

Mine panniers fit nice and snug at 30mm......I 've tried the suggested measurement and the panniers refuse to fit :nono
