I've been waiting ten minutes for that????

Internet? Use it everyday - yawn!

Drink? You gotta be joking. :upyou

Goldwing over rated

:goof
Bought mine 3 weeks ago, new. Quite fancied a change after 24 years on GS's ,bearing in mind that I had also owned the R1200GS. I believed that the Goldwing was a big improvment over the GS. Big mistake! After dark the lights are far to bright ,I've only seen seen brighter lights on space shuttles! The less said about the seat, the better,100 miles max before I get sea-sick on the squishy seat! :barf :barf :barf
Are Honda really not capable of making uncomfortable seats and lights that ONLY actually illuminate the road,or,do they really not care a f---, because there are plenty of suckers out there, all too ready to part with their cash?
I did not, for one minute, expect GS standards from Handa, but,If I wanted to sit on a waterbed with sunglasses on, I could have saved myself a truck load of money and done that in a brothel!
So, the bike has been sold, and, I collect the new GS on Saturday!
The Goldwing is far to good a concept car, but, as a "finished article"it falls way short of a good motorcycle, Overated, Overpriced, overweight will never be OK

Loads More Work :cockeye

Hey Graham, don't you think it would help if you spelt the german part of your signature correctly?? :D :D It's ......................aber vielleicht nicht

Seriously under-rated bike. More people ought to get a ride on one. Nothing that size deserves to handle so well.

Owning an K1200LT as well as my GS I couldn't agree more, I regularly grind out both sides of the mainstand on mine. :D

Are you the same Twistgrip offa the Vara UK site, that slates everything not Honda, and anyone who does not own one? :nono

Schwarz Baron old chap, there is no member on the Vara UK site called Twistgrip :eek :nenau

For those slagging off Goldwings, have you actually ridden one? You'd be surprised....and no I don't own one.

Still.....be boring if we all liked the same bikes, although reading some of the bullshit post here, seems owning a GS makes you a riding god or higher being  Agree with what Den posted here Remove yourself from your own a-hole GDO :dabone

Goldwing Or GS?

I have ridden a Wing very nice. A GS? As an owner of one of those 'old' GS1100 you know the ones you dont have to buy anything for? Stir, stir! I have but a Cunning Plan? Keep the Wing and buy a GS1100 the one with the Good Headlight! There yu go? :thumb

Exactly! There have been many a sport bike rider that I've given a lesson in the twisties when on my LT, it really surprises them. The LT can really hold it's own for such a big load, you really forget how heavy it is - until you come to a stop.

Just to throw some thing differnet into the conversation, I agree that the gs is overrated in many areas, mainly quality of plastics, final drive design design ( had two replaced ) and the tractor like engine ( Have an old 1300 fiesta with pushrods and it rattles less, and yes the bikes JUST been serviced ) along with the dealer service versus price equation, other aspects of it are like like the handling, comfort etc. sometimes wish I'd bought the KTM but heho.

It never fails to amaze me how prejudiced and downright rude some member of this forum can be when somebody dares to express a view that is contrary to the board.

It really doesn’t seem very adult behavior.

look we are all domesticated primates and when they feel threatened they revert to primate behavior ......
and start throwing sh.t at each other....
verbaly..... hes a no good sh.t/ your talking sh.t/out of your ar.e ect so :troll2 unles you enjoy flinging the sh.t

Twistgrip - nice one if you are who I think you are :D

I always fancied one of those unfaired goldwing thingies. But never took em seriously as a year round bike. well... not for me anyway. interesting though. much like those giant triumph wotsits.
