Personal experience
Yes it's only on £5000 and you may receive cash back, but as it's a HP agreement then according to the dealer I dealt with on Saturday you can end the agreement at anytime and not pay interest for the unexpired part of the agreement. With normal loans if you pay it off earlier then you don't get all the interest back. For example 3 year loan paid off after 2 years you only get back a year of the "unpaid" interest. No doubt someone can explain it a lot better.
The above was enough to convince me and sign up for a nice red one with black seat and side panels.
The only downer is that the spec is not totally under my control and it has to be registered this year. Could be something to do with the sales year?
But then it'll be a 2005 spec bike ie no different, and if the 5% increase happens then I'll have saved close on £450.
