1200GS Stainless Steel Headers

Had an email from Keihan today confirming they are adding a hanger (or at least supplying one as an option) and that it should be available from next week. In my opinion I believe that will make it a better option for me since it has both hanger and the balance pipe..

Totally agree with the need for a hanger, just bought the MiVV headers which have a balance pipe and hanger for 299 pounds.

I`ll be away for a month from 1st July so if anyone is after a set of the finest Stainless Steel headers you can buy, please get in touch directly with Keihan at [email protected]. Please mention UKgser so we know where the enquiry came from.

With the next batch, we are offering the hangar if you think you need it:thumb

Just wanted to say had a fantastic service - well impressed.

Erm... Is the price right???

Erm looking at the Keihan site direct and indeed Moto bins, these headers appear cheaper than the £299 offered on here:blast

Don't get me wrong, Im not having a go, but thought we'd get a better deal from here? :aidan

Is there anything you can do Sgt Bilco??? :D

I think Chris travels back from the US of A about now, so it may be a few days before he can respond:thumb2

Just a thought but have you included the dreaded VAT in your comparison as neither Keihan or Motobins show it on their websites? :nenau

Back now from sunny Alaska:thumb

The price on here was quoted with 17.5% VAT and I've forgotten to change it to the current 15%.:blast

The current price for the headers is £288.67 which includes VAT + delivery.

Welcome back!!!

It seems that Alaska has more sun than over here....:tears:tears

Now back to exhaust issues,....these headers are really nice but can be used with Zard cans??

How big is the difference between the diameters of the headers against other headers Remus,Akrapovic or Zard??

Alaska was 90 degrees :D apart from north of the arctic circle where it got a lot colder:augie

Anyway, our Keihan headers are the same diameter and dimensions as the OEM items and retain the balancer pipe. They can be used with any end can as long as they fit with standard factory headers. Not sure if anyone has fitted them with Zard cans yet but can't see an issue.

We also offer a 10 year guarentee:thumb

i have a 2009 adventure and i'm thing of fitting these headers. my only worry is i've read on here that the later bikes run quite lean as standard, am i likely to do any damage by fitting these without any other mods ? also would i invalidate the warranty ?

Today I become a happy owner of Keihan headers...I met Sgt Bilco and Vern...amazing guys...
Keihan headers are amazing....in connection with my new ZARD exhaust can ...my 2006 GSA is transformed into a racing machine....it revs from really early...the sound is amazing...really thrilled....

another happy customer here

Fitted my Keihan headers yesterday and took the bike for a spin today. What can I say? Good quality headers, good service (thanks Sgt Bilco :thumb2) good price and the bike runs llike a dream now :JB

Now......., do I go for the can too? Decisions, decisions :D

We have got 8 sets of stainless steel headers(complete with hangers), finished, polished ready to go.:thumb

Unfortunately, we have had to have a price rise and a set of 1200 headers is now £315.59 + postage which is still great value for money for these high class headers.

*Please note that they do not fit the latest 2010 GS and GS-A*

As our headers are the same dimensions as the standard OEM headers, you will have no issues in fitting with any type of crash bars.

Sgt Bilco,

Do you have any of these available at the moment? I've PM'd you.

Cheers - Jon

Hi ,are you going to make headers for the mk3/010 1200gs anytime soon ?Thanks, Slogger.

There we are....after a year of wearing the Keihan exhaust pipes ...only one thing I can say...that they are perfect kit...good performance...excellent sount...no problem at all...eee.....not at all....

Unfortunately, yesterday I realised that the hanger from the exhausted was missing....can someone with Keihan provide me a photo of the hanger....

yea ...there is no problem to use it as it is...but I would like to have one...in order the whole exhaust to vibrate....thanks...

Calling Sgt Bilco!

Having just acquired a Akrapovic end can for my 09 1200gsa I'm now looking for some ss headers. What's the availability and cost these days?

They look great :thumb2
Couple of questions if I may;
1; You mention the hanger bracket but it's not shown in the pic, I take it this is added during fitting by means of a collar? And....
2; Do you have a pic?
3; With the bigger radius outlet do these headers retain the widget/flap thingy, or is it that part of the silencer /can?

Thanks in advance :beerjug:

Steve

I'll get a pic of the hangar for you next week but it is basically a collar on teh pipe which fits to the bottom of the engine.

You retain the flappy thing as that is part of the silence:thumb
