1200gs starting problems

My 12 plate 1200gs starts on one cylinder any ideas please?
I've tried adjusting the throttle cables which makes it better ?
I comes onto two with a few revs and when it warms up?

have you checked the coils?,swap round and see if missfire moves,put the throttle cables back to where they should be.

Could also be a plug fowling up? Try swapping them over.

tbh you should not have touched the cables,try to put them back they wont be the problem.unless you have done some work on the bike and managed to unseat a cable at the splitter box.

Cables don't affect idle unless they are really badly adjusted or not seating. Now you have messed with them you will need to do a TB sync at some point. Idle is controlled by by the idle servos and the ECU.

To take the cables out of the equation for now slacken them right off so they cant affect the idle and check/replace your plugs and also check the coils especially the lower coils, they sometimes get wet and split. Once you have the idle right you can then do the TB sync via vacuum gauges at 2500 rpm and get the cables back into proper adjustment.

Running one one until warm sounds like ignition to me.
As others have said above, I'd check plugs, coils, ht leads etc.

Pull the coils if they are rusty bulged or smell electrically hot get a new pair. When one fails it's partner won't be long. The later coils with stainless case are better made.
Mine is still on original secondaries. Maybe because they don't run so hot they last longer.
When my secondaries fail I'm using a pair of three wire stick coils for a Ford or some such with HT leads to the plugs. £80 per coil is taking the P when car coils cost 1/2 that for four.

It's unlikely to be throttle bodies. Mine has recently been popping back a few times. Cause was the nasty compression band refusing to go tight enough. Slot 1 too loose. Slot 2 too tight to clip. All fixed for now with a zippy cable tie. I need some narrow band worm clips.
The only time it ever ran on one cylinder was when the coil(s) failed.
