What's the deal with BMW assist? (0800777111)
Is it for the 1st year of ownership as with some other manufacturers or is it a lifetime deal?

Can't find any terms & conditions on the 'net.

Hi ovenpaa,

I took the toolkit from my first 1200 GS and put it in my 1200 GSA. It looks like this (version April 2004):

The orange knife is used to cut corners:D

I think I will pull the set from my 1150 Adv as it is very good and try and remember to carry it in the tank bag of which ever bike I am on. The good news is I want it for the HP2 and they are held together with zip-ties so a few of those, plus duct tape and my B*W card and I will be well away.

Cheers

PS - The Adv came with a small knife, I always wondered what it was for :D

Hi Tim,

I once fixed a hole in my rear tyre with a set of more than ten years old. But maybe the glue was better in the past...

Does anyone know how many years is recommended by BMW or any other manufacturer?

Greetings, Tom.
