Good evening.

Do YOU live in the Bracknell area of England?

Do YOU have a camera and are willing to help this website?

We've received reports that a gang calling themselves "MBW GB" are using a new type of motorcycle, calling it an "R1200GS".

This is despite formal denials at dealerships and a certain motorcycle show that they have any details on it.

Before, this phenomenon has only been photographed/reported on the continent, but now we have information - from an inside source - that one has been smuggled into the UK and is being ridden by an employee of this gang, around this area................

Keep 'em peeled!

Here's a thought... what if BMW decided to inaugaurate the 1200GS in the Dakar and given it to Pavey/Plum ??

Since the bike is lighter, and there's a rugged Adventurer version, it might be able to do the job.

Best publicity they can imagine...............even if they don't make it.

They'll just say "well, it's just a prototype"..:D You know, stranger things have happened. For promotional events, you can't beat the Dakar. If BMW have been testing the bike as they should, it wouldn't be a big problem, it's just is the bike capable of competiting against the Orange Armada ??

And notice that on the dakar site, neither Simon or Nick have a model type against their name, just BMW !!

And even if they don't we can always start the rumor

I like it Mike.......Paris Dakar bikes are aways specials not particularly close to the street versions so all they'd have to do is make sure it was a 1200cc then all or most of the other bits could be the sort of special kit they always put on anyway..noone expects to see the thing they'll be able to buy racing in the PD...the naming alone would give the new model the kudos and as you say, they'd have the get-out of it being a 'new' model if it failed.....

Top rumour sir!!

Speculation ??
