Hi

Hi, I have a 2012 GSA and need to remove the throttle grip (not the rubber the whole grip).

I have removed the mirror bracket, the rear of the switch housing and the front of the cable housing but for the life of me I cannot see anything, not even a grub screw, that looks like it will release the grip from the bars. Has anyone any knowledge of this, I'm sure it must be staring me in the face.

Cheers in advance. I could stick a photo up in a bit if that helps.

According to Haynes which might not be the font of all knowledge but knows more than I do; If its got heated grips you need to hold back the flange of the grip to reveal the retaining screw. Remove the screw and slide the grip off the handlebar. Looking at a different part of the book it shows a picture of the screw, it's on the inboard end of the grip nearest the switch gear. A bit further on it also says the twist grip itself is secured by clamp screw but this looks obvious once the previous step has been done.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for this and it makes more sense than anything else I have to work with! Many thanks I'll give it a go in the morning and let you know. Cheers
