1200lc to GS urban

Exactly !!!

Only ended up with an XE by chance but if you are 6’ or over , the XE fits like a glove and everything just works.

That's a great looking bike , .:thumb2

I switched from a very well sorted Hexhead to my Turban. GS was better at everything except making me grin. That overrun, looks, burble, people stop and chat wherever you park up.... it's bloody lovely. SW-Motech bigger pegs, bar risers, Rear rack, better rear shock on mine. Sorted.

Did Scotland, three 250 mile days then home on mine. No issues

My days tend to be nearer 600miles when away, I have a bad habit of riding to much and not stopping enough, I think it’s because I don’t get as much time off as I want so I try and cram as much in as I can, so I blast down to the alps or Pyrenees in a day to get to the nice bits.

Think you have answered your own question there - would not want to do 600 miles in a day on a BMW or Triumph Scrambler.

If possible I would buy a low mileage second hand Turban as a second bike and keep the GS for serious touring ;)

I think you have hit the nail on the head there, best I buy a lottery ticket.
