Question for Urban GS owner

Urban GS is on my short list as a second bike and wondering if the front wheel throws up much water when riding in rain. Last time I had a scrambler was over 40 years ago and I still remember the jet of water in my face due to the high mudguard!
Torn between the Urban GS and Triumph 1200 Scrambler. Triumph gets it on looks for me but I do miss the boxer engine and did big miles on the 1200 GS, unlike the 1250 which I gave up on after 2 years due to poor dealer back up.

I cannot give much info on the front tyre issue as I didn't ride my UGS in much rain as it was a second bike. But regarding dealer confidence if you rely on them its a local knowledge thing but the UGS is relatively easy bike to service really the same as a twin cam R1200gs but you will need something to reset the service light which will not update the "Mothership" in Germany.

Thanks, as soon as a bike is out of warranty I service it myself, the 1200 was easy enough to work on and I have a scan tool which can reset the service
It would hopefully be a dry weather bike but my idea is to save my Tiger for European trips and use a second bike for UK so no doubt plenty of wet riding

Triumph is gutless compared to the urban.
Urban is great except the suspension which you will need to change

I’d go for the Triumph especially an XE on Ohlins .
The standard suspension on the Urban is not fit for purpose . Fuck knows how BMW think it is acceptable!!

No issues in rain with Turban. Suspension comments are 100% correct.

I switched to Tractive shock and Nitron fork innards. That plus Wunderlich seat and UG screen (XL) have given me a very fun and rideable bike…
