1250 GSA - Still a wise move?

I do particularly like the lights. Adaptive headlight is pretty cool as are the running lights. Rear brake lights x3 are super bright and I know there’s some contention on the indies, but I do like the way they work but then again generally assume no other road user takes any notice of them and ride accordingly.

Also, I had the factory BMW Akrapovic fitted from new and there is no droning noise at any speed although it does sound lovely.
(y)
I'd say all exhausts drone to a point, but the GSA aero should help I hope.

Baffles are out of course and the slow medium speed exhaust note is rewarding as is the QS/Blipper sound effects..

Yes I know I'm childish & honestly I did try to resist having anything other than the standard exhaust, but I have zero will power!

Re-map next no doubt.

I’ve never bothered with an aftermarket can on any bike and I actually think the stock exhaust sounds pretty nice.
But, when I had the loan bike with an Acro I did find myself looking into prices 😂

I agree the OE can is good, but I just couldn't resist despite my best efforts.

Compared to previous answers on here, I’m lacking in the height department
6’2”, 34” inside leg, seat is set High front, Low back (I think it, stops the feeling of having the hips shoved forward) and can happily plant both feet flat when stationary.

If you are I’m a leprechaun at 6ft!

Reason I ask is I realised last night I’ve not actually ridden a GSA with the stock seat. One I had on load had the one piece rally seat, didn’t cross my mind.
Sounds daft I know now that I’ve ordered one but at the time I rode one I wasn’t thinking of buying a GSA. When I decided to buy onr thought, “ yeah I’ve ridden one. all good” doh!

Just wondering, how tall are you guys with 1250 GSA’s?
5' 11" (never quite made the 6ft barrier!!)
32" inside leg
Seat is in the lower of the 2 positions and I can touch both feet down (not flat footed of of course!)

Same as me and identical set up.

I will represent the dwarf section here, too many second row players posted previously.

I am 5'9 and 30" inside leg.

But I have a 2020 low chassis model with an AktivComfort wunderlich seat.

No flat footing and some cambers catch me out.....

5/9 with 30 leg…standard set up, with seat on the lower setting.
I’m tip toes on both feet with it bolt upright. But always flat footed in traffic as I slide my arse slightly to the side I’m putting my foot down.
I do always look very carefully where I’m stopping and stick whichever foot down is best with the camber.

Thanks for all the replies gents. Put my
mind at rest a bit, sounds like I should be ok. If it’s a bit to tall I’ll have to break out my high healed boots I normally only use at the weekend. 😉

Make sure the seat is in it's low position on collection - just to be safe n all that!

Popped into my dealers today and threw a leg over a standard GSA, can’t quite flat foot but ok.
Bike has arrived, probably picking it up on Friday. 👍🏻

Get the ultralow seat it gives you an extra 30mm

About the same as me then, but I can just about get a flat foot down on both sides at the same time riding solo on my low chassis 2022 GSA. It’s jacks itself up with SWMBO on the back, but it‘s still low enough to get a foot down securely.

I‘ve swapped the uncomfortable standard height seat for a low GS seat. I had one on my low chassis 2019 GS and it was all day comfortable.

I haven't got my GSA yet but I rode my other GS with the seat on high with no problems, I'm 5'9" but have a 33" inside leg so can't foresee any problems with a 1250 GSA with the seat on low.

Well, I saw the new 1300GS In the flesh today for the first time. I know it's subjective, but it was parked up next to a New GSA. I made the right decision getting a new GSA, based upon looks that's for sure. I'm sure it rides good but so does my GSA. I'm not a tear arse any more, I don't want to scrape my elbows on bends, those days are long gone, never to return. If I like the upcoming R1?00 GSA when it comes out, I'll buy it if I don't have to have gold rims or I can fit my alloys to it. :devilish:
