1250 GSA - Still a wise move?

Bit of an odd question but...
Ive a 21 GS with heated seats. i get 5 setting options on grips and rider seat, 2 on pillion seat through the switch.
Ive a recollection that if you didnt have the heated seat you only got 2 heat options on the grips?

Now the GSA has a heated seat option does that have 5 setiings on the grips and seat for the rider? anyone know?

5 settings for grips - Crikey. My GS had 3 settings via the RHS cluster button.

I also have the heated seat & not that I wanted it, just came with the bike which I really don't see my using.

I believe that the 5 setting grips are only available with heated seats. Otherwise it’s 2 settings.

My GS 1250 had just 2 settings with no heated seats so I can confirm this.

After that bike got written off I had the same decision to make, GSA or 1300...
After a lot of thought I went for the 1250 GSA Rallye with black wheels and heated seats:cool: It was built this week so should be with me soon.

Nice. I just had to have the gold wheels and went with whatever colour scheme they came with which happened to be Trophy I'm told. Mine is is manufacture or thereabouts so not too far away.

What else is with your spec'?

Not much really, I have some mods back from the other bike so those will be going on but the only options I ticked on the GSA were the seats, wheels and it came with free aluminium panniers and inner bags.

I have a headlight protector from "A Bike Thing" , Yoshi exhaust, evotech rad guards, Mudsling's and a paint protection kit, I might fit some Weiser Wizards to the rear lights and an EZcan.

I picked the gold wheels with my triple black.
And compared to the black wheel bits of the diamond cut car wheels I have they are far easier to get clean.
Black looks nice but always shows the much and water marks up meaning more work to get it looking good.

Gold wheels are just a spray with soap, brush, rinse and then done.
Wont show up any light scratches like black will either.

I have a `21 GSA with heated seats - it has five heat settings for both grips and seat.

Confirm….73 plate GSA with the heated seat has 5 settings on both.

Found the heated seat gets very warm after 30-40 minute on the top 2 settings though would depend on what you’re wearing too I guess.

Gold wheels are the way to go, easier to clean and look great. I like the 2024 colours, racing blue with a black tank although on the attached youtube its black wheels.

Thanks for the replies about the seat heating chaps.
Another question. My currentt 21 GS has heated seats, does anyone know if it’s the exact same heated seat supplied on the GSA , I know the standard seats are different GS to GSA.
Can you tell I’m getting close to pulling the trigger.
GSMarky I blame you entirely 😉

Might be an idea to double check them side by side at a dealer’s showroom.

What colour & spec are you thinking?

I hadn’t realised just how many differences there were between my September ’20 GS TE and the latest GSA TE until i rode one. Headlight, indies, back light set up, heated seats, rider modes, brake calipers…. Plus i still have a Nav VI to complete the cockpit..

Oh & I’m glad to have helped!!

Hi Marky.
Ive seen some with a seat that looks like mine, and some where its different.
Im looking at a GSA Triple Black. probably gold wheels, 70s kid so as far as im concerned JPS colours were the coolest ever.

My current bike, 21 GS Triple Black, has the adaptive headlight, questionable new indicator setup and the BMW branded Hayes calipers.

It'll look like a cross between a F1 JPS Lotus and a Puch Grand Prix - there's nothing wrong with that!!

I was/am completely unfussed by the actual colour scheme and if asked, probably wouldn't have actually chosen the Trophy, but quite happy with what I'm getting. I think I prefer the lighter top side of the tank as you sit on the bike though.

I presume you're going through Wollaston?

That`s an unusual way of deciding, to opt for colour of the wheels first then whatever bodywork colour goes with them!

Are you thinking of keeping your heated seat and then hoping it will be plug`n`play with the GSA?
Unless the GSA was originally specced with seat heating I don`t think you`ll have the necessary wiring plug coming off the loom and the TFT will not be programmed for them..

Not sure i could handle the Puch.
Im talking to Wollaston, who supplied my current bike and im happy with, and another dealer.

Hi Hann,
No mate, the bike im interested in has heated seats im just unsure if the seat is actually different on the GS and GSA.

I definitely don't get why the Trophy is the most expensive colour scheme?
