1250 GSA - Still a wise move?

I've had x2 new bikes from there.
I don`t get why we have to pay extra for a different colour at all, it`s a scam.
When i ordered my Oct `21 (`22MY) GSA i opted for the solid grey, not because it was the no cost option (an extra 250 quid on a TB wouldn`t of been a dealbreaker when i`m spending 19K+ on a bike anyway..)
The mostly white one (Rallye?) was deffo out - looks too anaemic and bland which left two black options - the TB and the 40th Anniversary.
I already had three other bikes in the garage which were black, i didn`t want another one!
So the grey was the best of a rather mediocre and uninspring choice of colours for me, at least the heated seat option i chose meant it didn`t come with those dreadful red seats...
I don`t even like the Trophy which came out a year or so later (sorry..)..
Anyway, grey is a la mode is it not, i see plenty of Porsche and Audi in that hue.
Looking back, i maybe, maybe should have gone for the 40th (bumblebee).
My fave colour for the GS was Kalamata.

Just read this thread and it looks like I've followed most peoples thoughts on here.
I waited to see the new R13 but hated it straight away, except for the two cylinders sticking out and the shaft drive it looked more like a VStrom than a GS. I like change but I don't see this being for the better to be honest, BMW outsold KTM (1290 Adv) and Ducati (Multi V4) so why are they chasing the bhp game? They had a USP and it worked so not sure why they've changed the bike so much and to my mind for the worse.
I ordered and collected last week a brand new R1250GSA low chasis in the 2024 Rallye colours with everything fitted and free panniers. Almost run in now and definitely the correct decision.

I've had Anakee Adventures, PR5s and TA3S. TA3s are by far the best of those 3 regarding road noise. If I'm honest, I personally didn't hear much of a difference between AAs and PR5s.
With the TA3s I had an arse twitching moment on a greasy road on Saturday, but there's no saying whether I'd have had the same, if not worse with the others.

I deffo noticed tyre noise on riding away, after a few hundred miles it wasn’t as bad and it no longer bothers me
Fantastic - Good work.
There was a GSA TB being rolled out as I collected & it did look very er... Black & stealthlike.
I hear it that the gold wheels however just give it an extra BHP!!
Look forward to seeing it in the flesh!

Just leave the baffles in.

Mmm. There is that option.
Noise reduces with mileage; mine's done 1100 miles now and the noise definitely reduced and a set of Eggz earplugs removes what's left.
Got it. Forgotten how noisy this front Tyre is too!!
