I'm still glad I have changed from the 1250 even after the 3 months I owned the new one. I came back from 3 yeras with the V4s and as mentioned before was glad to go back to the Gs , but always missed the power the V4 had , but the new one has this again , but in a better way than the V4. We must remember that anyhing we read is always subjective and not actually correct as we all have different angles on the riding , technical side of bikes etc etc.
For me I wanted a torgue bike with handling , the 1300 does this better than the 1250 ( great chassis and power) and the V4 ( great chassis but power at the high revs so always up and down the box ) , the Ktm for me was a great motor but shit chassis and just did not work for me even after many test as I like the Ktm brand as raced them for as long as I remember ..
The electronics and new suspension will be a learning curve but one that should be easy as the V4 was , change is change. The cost , yes , its a lot but if you can great.
My riding mate was convinced he would keep his 19 plate 1250 so he could decide after he bought the new one but after a second test ride and the ride back home , sold it the following week as he felt the 1250 has had its day , similar to my thoughts but i have been on a V4 s for the past years and the change was easier , not cheap , but mentally easier to accept the new challenge on a new design bike , with all its probable issues and hopefully fun filled miles as I did with the new V4s when it came out as I had one of the first.
Anyway , lets have a great end of year and look forward to a few post of actual ownership and comments to the good or bad to be ripped apart on this forum , form fellows who take the chance.
