LOL I was sitting wondering how BM could use any other form of engine and still keep the telelever (which is a fantastic bit of kit as far as I am concerned) but the old K brick would fit the bill right enough.

Except maybe a few less broken exhaust valves? And maybe tossers will finally believe that you can actually let the engine idle without it self destructing and melting into a pool.

Harley did the same a few years and came out with the V Rod, designed by Porsche.

Ask any true Harley aficionado their thoughts on it..............they all say "It's not a true Harley".........I agree, as I had one..........

Vrod is a different thing it isnt a V twin so its not so much they water cooled an engine as provided a completely different engine. Your right though the Harley old school dont like them but they have sold loads to a new kind of customer who wanted something smoother and modern. I guess its on the lines of when BMW first brought out the K. Boxer fans didn't like it and wouldn't buy it but there were still loads on the road at the time.

Valves so far as I am concerned aren't a major problem just like leaving your bike idling for 10 mins but look round the forum and there are plenty who think it is.

your right just checked and it is a V twin, dont know why I always thought it was a V4 but then I have never had any interest in a Harley
