1290 GT

I’ve got a Garmin 390 LM and it fits nicely using the KTM mount. Ok, it’s not a big screen but it does all I need and has done on a number of bikes since I bought it.

Pictures can be taken tomorrow if required :thumb2

Using a 660. No probs. But needed a filler for mount to back of unit

What sat nav you guys got with the gt .....I like the 395lm and the 595lm but thinking the screen will be to big to fit to the bracket that ktm do 🤔

I thought the 590/595 looked a bit big. Better if you have a tinted screen. Anyway, sold my 590 and was going to buy a 395. However, thought they were too expensive for what they were.

So now have a Nav VI on its way. Going to try it with the button BMW mount. But also have a 660 mount also on its way. So will see what I prefer.

Then sell the whole lot. :0)

AMS definitely have a couple and re-open this Friday they also have 20% off all power parts until January 2nd, 01684 292929

Thank you. I’m travelling at the moment so contact with dealers has been via email and so far no luck!

I’ve just seen my first GT in the wild in Singapore and it looked and sounded bloody superb!

Usually get an email from them when offers are on.....and there's nothing on their website or FB page. Do you have a discount code?

My ktm dealer has said that the wires used to wire the sat nav up has to go to the battery and not the ones behind the clocks , because of the black box on the garmin wires , is this true , sounds like alot of hassle to wire it up correctly

I was advised by premier bikes to feed all the wires under the tank if you are using a 590 cradle.
There are connectors under the charcoal filter. There are a lot of wires that I guess you can't loose neatly unless you do it that way.

If your trying to fit a 395 type sat nav. You need to loose that bulky black box somewhere.

I have a Zumo 340 on my 1190 Adventure, works well enough as these things go, decent screen (even in sunlight) only issue is it occasionally wants to send you down a shitty little dirt track if it thinks it will save a few metres / seconds on the trip (regardless of if I have selected fastest or shortest preference) and is not as good as a 10 year old car unit we strap to the Mrs bike in this respect.

No idea how it is wired up as the dealer did it, having a new 345 fitted to the 1090 we are getting in a couple of weeks, but I do wish I had bought another 340 when I got mine (for £199 at Aldi) as I cannot see anything with the later 345 that I really need, although the ability to play music from the phone through to the headset might be handy if it works well, can do this with my headset, but if I can swap playlists on the go it would be a good enhancement.

At least I got a good deal buying it with the bike, I think the mounts for all the 340/5 390/5 range are the same so I will steal the newer 345 and give the Mrs the older 340 as she never listens to music on the bike - she is too busy complaining about my riding.

Cheers guys for the information , opted for the garmin 395LM with the sena 20s evo headset , should fit nicely to the GT :beerjug:

Hopefully prices increase when there all gone and I may sell mine .

People remember these deals and they weren’t a big seller hence the offer. Can’t see them going up in value.

I could be wrong though.

I’ve never bought a new bike expecting it to be an investment but I’m hoping the low purchase price might minimise the depreciation hit for once.
