Issues over guage accuracy and amusement thereover aside; how far has anyone managed on a tank - I'm not trying to be economic in any way but so far my trips reading 289 miles and suggesting I have 17 miles left in the tank. (So far the guage seems to be behaving itself).

I've managed 320-330 I think but that was one big run

Best MPG I've got 54.81, worst 38.74 - god how anal do I look??

I've found that the range warning kicks in about 45 miles and drops quickly to about 30ish... and I've only dare drive it down to about 10 miles... I really dont want to be pushing a 12GSA

Minimum of 360 several times. Guage suggests that it could do 400 upon filling up but haven't made it yet.

I have had 330mls on mixed journey including motorways,A and B roads with an indicated 20 miles remaining. The other day I bombed back down from a trip to The Wirral and only managed 225mls before the indicator showed 45 remaining! :nenau

It varies-

Fully loaded on motorways: 250 miles

Bimbling around unloaded and taking it easy: 400 miles

As for the fuel guage and on board computer I think it just makes trhe ranges up.

350 + 35-45 miles left countdown. Set your watch by it :P

Sounds about right to me :thumb
Doesn't seem to matter how I ride,if I reset the mpg back to zero it always ends up 48-49mpg,doesn't matter whether that average is calculated over a week or a month :nenau

Mine eventually records an average of either 47.8 or 48.7 :nenau

S'funny, that's the only 2 average number's i've seen on mine.

it's the same with anything electronic - i don't trust it! (i bought a 1200GSA, though, so I'm aware of the irony....).

200 years ago, electronics engineers would've been burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft. Proper order, I say :P

I manage 55mpg + and approx 380 miles on a tank with a few miles to spare . I must add this is with gentle commuting. At the weekends it drops to 45 to 50 mpg !

very even consumption

I am getting 47-48 mpg on the motorway at 80-85 mph, 55 mpg riding B roads all day long, and still getting 50 mpg aggressively climbing (and descending) mountain passes all day long in the Alps.

That pans out to 350-400 miles per tank ... no exceptions, including one tank that took an hour and a half on the autobahn when I was up to 190 km/h (115 mph) and not below 160 km/h (100mph).

how far?

Take it easy two up fully loaded on holliday and.............
