I'm considering a taller screen for my 12GSA (cos I don't want to set my seat lower) but forgot to measure my screen last night.

Does anyone have access to a 12GSA and could measure the distance from the centre point between the headlights to the top edge?

Laminar Lip

Rather than shell out megabucks for a taller GSA screen have you considered a Laminar Lip? Got one on mine and it looks great and works great. Also stops much of the buffeting experienced with the original. Have a look on the Laminar website where there's dozens of pictures of these things fitted to all types of bikes. Some look a bit wierd but the GSA one looks really nice. I'm about six foot two with the standard seat on high and have been able to lower the screen a couple of notches from max which makes the bike less brick shaped. And still the wind clears the top of my lid by a couple of inches. Well impressed.
And now the downside. As far as I know these things can only be bought from Laminar direct in the US of A. Price of the Lip and shipping costs was reasonable but UK Customs add about another 25 quid or so once it arrives here! :mcgun Still much cheaper than a taller screen so no regrets.:)

Screen height

The actual height from the centre of the screen blade to the top is 465 mm.
The 'point at the bottom is about 30mm above where the two headlight rims touch. You will see what I mean (I hope) if you look at a photo.

Thanks guys.

I'm not getting buffeting as such, I just think that with a little extra height it'll be quieter. I'd go for tobinators as a first choice but I have a Motorrad Concepts GPS mount and the 2 are not compatible!

I'll look at laminar but Nippy Norman's tall screen may be a cheaper and quicker option

I wonder

If you are not getting any buffeting the question of noise is a bit difficult to pin down; I have found enormous differences acording to various helmets I have tried. I assume you have tried all screen settings;I know many people wear ear plugs - which I hate!
