As long term owner of a 1200GSA WC, which is fully dealer serviced, and still on extended warranty , I find the dealer service costs very affordable .
So my interest , is , are these 1300 variants any different re costs ? What do you pay ?

first service at 600 miles,i paid 200 quid for an oil and filter and final drive oil change, they got you by the balls while its under warrantee ,next service due at 6000 miles.

I’d say that’s very reasonable and on a par with what I’ve been used to paying . What about major servicing, eg valves and brake fluids ?

Mine is in on Wedneday for its 6,000 mile service, I'll let you know.

I’ve got the extended warranty from when my shop warranty from motorrad expired and have always done my oil change ( final drive ,gearbox and engine oil myself and had no problem with the few warranty claims I’ve made . Do it yourself and save £200

The extended warranty ( and I’ve had £4-5k worth of extended warranty claims ), has a condition of ‘proper servicing / maintenance ‘ I believe . I do not believe that I would have received so much support if I’d been doing by own servicing .
To quote the Motorrad policy ;
“Care of your motorcycle - You must keep your motorcycle in an efficient and road worthy condition and regularly service it in accordance with the Manufacturer’s recommendations and genuine parts, or parts of equivalent specification must be used.
b) After each service, please ensure that the relevant service details are completed in your service records by the servicing garage and obtain a receipt
for the service. You must keep all such receipts for reference in the event of a claim”
Getting off topic now …
Trying to discover if the new models cost more to service

Other than the drive shaft replacement at whatever mileage mentioned in a recent post, maintenance costs should be about the same as a 1250. Replacing the oil filter cartridge may take 5 min longer than the 1250.
I do oil changes every tire change 4000 miles plus or minus, some by the dealer, some by myself, fully documented.

I'm going over to home servicing this year on my 1250GSA as its now at 21,000 miles and the extended warranty is over £400 a year plus about £250 for a dealer service.

I can check mine over with my GS911 and replace all the usual consumables for a lot less, and I only ride it about 2000 miles a year.

Its a keeper so not bothered about its resale value, its probably my last BMW motorcycle.

(My last Hex GSA I had for ten years and kept in perfect condition including a home gearbox rebuild, clutch, alternator etc, I wish I hadn't traded it.)

What cost is a service for Valves, air filter , brake fluid oils incl final drive , and plugs ?
FWIW, mine on my 1200 was recently £535 for a big un, excluding brake pads/ disks and I consider that jolly good … and so glad it’s not a Triumph !

paid £700ish for a 3 year 18k mile service plan at start of last year - is seeming like a bit of a bargain unless ive missed something (quite possible!)

I won’t buy a service plan with the number of bike dealers struggling. If the dealer goes bust, who covers your service plan, the dealer or the UK network?
If the former, you’ve lost your money.

It’s the same reason I wouldn’t buy gift tokens as presents or buy into a Christmas hamper scheme or a savings club.

Mine is from vertu the old Alan Jeffries, they won't be going bust with their catchment area and established customer base.

I recently paid £230 for the running in service.

My 1300 GSA is due it’s 6000 miles service. Wolverhampton are quoting me £340 and Shrewsbury are quoting me £266. Both are Sytner BMW! So how can they be so different?.
Cotswolds BMW are quoting £325

Sounds like Sytner Shrewsbury may have quoted you for a first service.
That’s what I paid last month for the 600 mile service.

I wouldn’t complain. Just get it booked into Shrewsbury if you have it in writing.
The chap is quite new to the bike side of things and stepped in when Mark Maddox left.
