150kg Airhead

Do the airhead collective believe it is possible to build a 150kg (dry) Airhead?

I was thinking of a fairly serious off road machine with a 3 gallon alloy tank, WP front end, plastic back end, 800 engine, Ti exhaust system and skinny wheels, and absolutely minimal build, is it theoretically possible? My only comparison is the HP2 at 175kgs ish dry.

Just an idle thought on a cold winters evening

mines 205kg with 19L of fuel

Richie Moore based in Northampton reckons you can build down to that weight

There's not a lot of extra crap on it apart from a decent headlight...
If you could shave another 10 off i would be surprised

why do you quote dry weights?? you only ride with all fluids at correct levels

A decent hi-tech titanium frame instead of the standard IK Brunel spec may help.

Is the mono-lever lighter than a para and if so is there a handling compromise?

,there was a pd on there that the owner reconed weighed 160 kilos!!. Think it was about page three.

A KTM V would cost a lot less...If you could find a welder with the equipment to do it.

Interesting thread ....I'm going for minimum weight and Max power as well on a mono....But Iv'e just started the bike
