18,000 miles & service cost?

18,000 miles service due on my GS (non ABS ) does anybody have any prices they have paid at a main dealer for an 18 thou service?

18k is a minor service (ie the same as a 6k). You should be paying £110-£125, if your dealer isn't ripping you off. Get an estimate first. Also be aware that they may want to combine it with an annual service (which are additional, nor alternative, to the mileage-scheduled services) and this will increase the price...

So here are the costs for my service broken down to parts & labour. Prices include VAT

18K service
Parts: Oil filter kit, oil, consumables = £44.27
Labour: £90.47

1st year annual service (brake fluid change)
Parts: Brake fluid £2.30
Labour: £61.69

Plus they replaced my rear brake pads
Parts: £24.77
Labour: £20.56

I also had some other work done to free up the front brakes which were binding slightly. This cost £20.56
