1970s mini electris Question

Hello there
I lad who has a garage aside mine has a lovely mini he is restoring. He has sorted most things out but is having a problem with the indicators.
They flash OK and at right intervals when only 2 working but if hazard 4 way selected the barely glow and flash quick. Any auto electrical clever clogs know what he has done or not done - he has had another flasher relay and thats the same.

Looks like the relay does the delay as well as the flash and is specified for the load (indicator wattage). Replace with a relay that flashes independant of load

I agree, wrong flasher units being used.

Yes he said it has the 4 way flasher switch - He got a new wireing loom and this problem seems to have come with it.
He has fitted new battery earth leads, toally resprayed everything and upholstered the car, A very professional looking job - up to now but !!!!!!
