I am doing a bit of a refresher on my 90s and the seat is a bit of a problem for me. I believe the seat is the original one and I would like to keep it for originality as well as cost ( my other 90s had to have a new seat last year and Siebenrock cost almost 500 euros)
At present my thoughts are remove the damaged hinge and cut and shape a new cover plate and attach with self tapping screws. The hinge would be bolted to the patch.
Now that I am retired a welded solution is not possible.
Ideally I would l to give the seat to someone to sort- any ideas welcome.
