Bought this bike yesterday...

Dont understand why no one else bid on it. I test rode it before I bought it and it is amazing. I think I will sell my 07GSA and just keep this one. ... . .

Good commutor but not an RS unless it has an invisible fairing, more like an ex police RT, single seat with big bars.......
That someone has thrown the fairing away

It used to be an RS in Silver blue... but someone has spent a lot of money on it, repainted the bike and then got divorced. I almost feel guilty.

Thanks! I could not work out why no one else bid on it. Almost felt like something was wrong with it or I was missing something... if it is too good to be true... but so far all seems kosher.

It comes with panniers, a double seat... as well.

One more question.... where would I get this serviced in London? I will buy the manual and start doing my own services, but I was thinking that the first time I will have it checked over properly but someone who knows what they are doing.... any recommendations?

probably because it was sold on ebay just a couple or three weeks ago. so you're the second buyer in less than a month.

Yes, the guy that bought 3 weeks ago lives a few miles from my house and he just lost his garage. He already owned an MV Augusta and a Ducati Hypermotard... and did not want to leave all three bikes standing in the road.

He paid £1850 and that is how much I paid him. I am thinking of adding a screen for the winter if I go on longer journeys but other than that it was mint and I will not change a thing.

When he rolled it out of garage my jaw dropped and when he fired her up my tongue fell out. Such a lovely sound.

I hope the bike will be reliable. On the other hand - if it wasnt reliable it probably would not be around for 31 years. That is the logic I am applying at the moment.

I will post some more photos soon.

I might be moving to Oz in a year or so and was actually thinking of taking it with me... my mates here are telling me bikes in Oz are very expensive.

you're only allowed one bike ( i think?) and you have to have owned it for a year with proof.
If you really are coming here - get the bike of your dreams right now cos it'll be more expensive here or not available.
The one year thing is a killer - so plan ahead

No. Unless it's permanantly attached to a battery charger you'll have a constant flat battery throughout winter.

For a 10 mile commute you can't beat a small scoot.

I have not had any problems with my Honda CB550 and my 07 GSA....

Is this battery issue particular to a R100RS?
