this is my brother's bike, the last of his collection of classic BMW & Moto Guzzi. He is substantially older than me and has had some health problems. This is just too heavy for him to ride now.

He want something like a CB200 if you have anything suitable.

My KTM 390 is still available, don’t know if that would suit. Could discuss delivery.

The Guzzi looks good, so have a bump anyway.

thanks

he won't want anything made after the 1980s! He tried an early 600cc Transalp and hated it as "too modern"

he had a CB200 in the late 70s so it's a bit of nostalgia. This was the first >50cc motorcycle I rode on the road at [cough] 16. It was another 13 years before I passed my test and bought my first bike in 1992.

I was looking on Market Place yesterday and saw this CB200.

I think he saw that and was bemoaning the price of such bikes! Seems the old Brit bikes from the 60s and earlier are getting less popular but old farts like my brother want the shite old Jap stuff they rode to work in the 70s and 80s!

Finishes soon. Up to £2850 with 3 bidders and 175 watching.

that is what the advert says !
£2950 , he'll have some spare cash to play with .

not sure he will have all of that to spend on a bike

he has a grandson just starting year 3 in uni and it seems the accommodation he is in has ramped up the rent

the parents are feckless, millennial stoners

it tipped over £3k to reach £3100, so he is happy

AND , it's on the bench today.

I'll have to tap him for commission

he has already found a CB200, advertised as a fixer upper but he got it running quickly once he got it home in his van.

seller stated it had been stood for a while and was no longer running. Suspected the carb was gummed up. Brother negotiated fixer upper price. Got it home, turned the fuel tap to reserve and it spluttered into life. Cost him £1500 and he could probably sell it for £2500 as a runner.
