Hi All

I am selling my dads old R100 RT. He owned this for about 3 or 4 years before replacing it about a year ago. I bought it from him fully ready to embrace a "Classic Tourer" but it simply doesn't do it for me and I have only done a few hundred miles on it in the time I have had it. It needs to go to someone who is actually going to appreciate it and I am going to replace it with something a bit more modern.

Its showing 43K, had scarce history before my dad bought it but.....

He bought it on 30 something K and has kept meticulous service and repair records since then. He owns and rides several classic bikes and is an "old school bike engineer" so this really is in absolutely amazing mechanical condition.

In the last few years it has had loads done, servicing, carbs re-built, brakes rebuilt (the fronts work brilliantly which is rare for this type!), rear wheel bearings (and I think FD bearing?) super bright headlight and a full gearbox rebuild. Its had loads of other bits & pieces done and the receipts are all there

He regularly toured in the UK and Europe on this and it is reliable and rides brilliantly.

Cosmetically it is fine from 10ft, the paintwork has the knocks / bangs / scrapes you would expect from a well used 40yr old bike and has been touched up here and there.

I have tried to capture the bike honestly in the pics, if you want any more please call and I can take and send some.

I am looking to move it on easily and quickly so am open to sensible offers but I am not going to take a silly low-ball so please don't :)

I am on 07881 887207 if you would like any more details phone is better than email.

Proper lovely .. I was after one a month or three ago but stuck to 90s tech... They are old tech but you can get the "wayoit" if you ride it in a smooth and relaxed way... I think its a very sensible price and please get a buyer to sign a disclaimer they not going to fxxk it up into a street scrambler...👍🤣👍🤣
Ps I'd drop the bars a bit n take it for a nice A road blast before selling...👍😁 A lovely looking bike...

That fairing was quite a thing, wasn't it? Elegant gauges in a dashboard, Ford Capri style air vents, storage bins...

Such a fabulous colour scheme, too. have a bump.

Thanks for the positive comments!

It is a lovely well sorted bike, just not quite right for me just yet…..!

I’m not up to speed with the market for old airheads at the moment. I’d welcome any constructive input on advert/price/expectations if anyone has any?

I don’t want to give it away but could do with it going sooner rather than later tbh.

Cheers.

So I assume I have missed the mark a bit on pricing as i still have this!

I am reducing the price here to £3000 for a quick & easy sale (currently £3200 on eBay) . Could anyone tell me how I amend the title of the thread to reflect this please?
