1981 Mint R80 G/S value ( with Dakar conversion)??

Pictures would help, being an 81 it could never get away as a genuine 80 g/s PD so hard to value, to be honest market for mono's is pretty good having looked at some of the recent sales on EBay.

Nice example of a very clean bike
Ohlins, rebuild and dakar tank really devalue a nice original bike - it means sheps offer is a bit high - I'd take his arm off if I were you?

Realistaically it is worth what someone is prepared to pay.
I think the engine mods devalue it personally. if I had the cash I'd be looking to go to around £4000 ish

I agrree with flipfly, the low mileage if it can be proved to be genuine might push it up a bit further towards £4,500+.

£ 3400, not bad I guess for an original but still a bit scruffy bike.The PD is a nice bike but hasn't had the brakes done despite some mild engine mods.Brakes were marginal on these bikes from new so a faster one really needs better stopping power.I've ended up on top of more than one roundabout when loaded up,after failing to get the thing stopped.Made me laugh at the time but could've been serious.
Too dear imho, there are better bikes around for less than that.

That was a £2800 - £3000 bike at the most.......but whilst there are muppets who will pay the money, I suppose that's what the bikes are worth

I am starting to think that the £1800.00 i paid for my 92 r80gs was a bit of a bargain
