Just put a new coil on my R80 as it packed in last summer.
I also fitted new plug wires, (BMW - as originally fitted to the Bike type)
The Bike has never started "first time" for the last few years and has always been temperamental starting hot and cold.
It now starts first time, with the new coil fitted, so I reckon the coil has gradually gone and that is why it never started easily
Just another airhead fact to keep in mind and a thought on this bright sunny French morning
