The time has come to say goodbye to my 1100GS which I have owned from new, purchased in July 1999, 15 years ago.

This was one of the last 1100GS's to roll off the production line prior to the introduction of the 1150, so if you are looking for a late 1100 you can't get much later than this one :thumb

68,000 miles.
Tax until the end of this month (March)
MOT'd to mid July
Serviced from new by myself approximately every 6,000 miles.
Ohlins front and rear.

Apart from routine maintenance + a rear wheel bearing and bevel box bearings, she is totally original.

The first 4 images are clickable to reveal huge bigfugoff images for you to see a little closer.

Front engine cover could do with a repaint and the exhausts could do with a polishing. A couple of days spent with a cloth and a tin of engine paint would see this one looking very very nice.... center stand could do with a touch up too.

£2,895 for this unique opportunity to buy this one owner 1100 that is responsible for the creation of this place :D

Located in Shropshire.

A week before I picked her up:-

You could surely buy the poor girl some shoes!

It just wants some carbs!

Someone will like that!

Paul,
Like you, I had one of these beauties until some numptie took me out on my way to work one morning:mad:
Your daughter has grown but your hedge has shrunk, what's that all about??
Are you sure you want to get rid of one of the best GSs bar none?
All the best with the sale,
Pat.

Is this the prelude to some kind of major announcement like "I am retiring from UKGSER and I have sold the site to Trippy"

I think I bought her her last pair :D

BHT without an 1100, WTF
You must be mad Paul...
Yeah I know, it's going to be a bit weird but when the 'new one' arrives she will end up neglected and just sit in the garage. It's time for someone to take her on her next journey :thumb2

.... You've lost weight over 15 years!
But I was so much older then.... I'm younger than that now :thumb

I remember your bike Pat, and the accident.

Some say the last of the 1100GS were the best and after that it all started going downhill....

he just can't keep quiet :blast I told him not to say anything until the deal was finalised :D

are you sure those photos of you are not taken a week apart
Does that translate into "are you open to offers" :D

I don't think I could let it go, I've still got my DOT trials bike I bought when I was 11 years old. If you can, clean it, spray it in acf, put it in the back of the garage and forget about. I bet every time you look at it you have a smile on your face :thumb

Hello,
I have been looking for a really nice one of these for a while.
But until a good one turns up, maybe yours would do :-)
Well,"are you open to offers" is a very good question so I had better ask.
Got some cash burning a hole, so PM me if you think we can help each other out.

Offers.... certainly, to you sir.... how about £3k :thumb

Never mind the bike... How much do you want for that old vauxhall in picture 6 ...

I think you'd be off using it a a figurehead on the prow of your yacht. It could also be used as a back-up anchor if needed. :aidan

That ivy will make a dire mess of your pointing :) Just look at how much it's taken over in 15 years. Grown faster than your daughter for sure :P
