Clutch cable broke in heavy Dublin traffic.

On the positive and for future reference, it's possible to get the bike going by starting her in first.

Just make sure you have a clear road ahead!

I'm buying two cables tomorrow. Ones going to Sit alongside the other in case this ever happens again.

Feel a little proud to have got home. I only broke three lights! (your honour)

Your well organised! I was impressed with my 13 year old starter motor having the power to get the bike moving.

you're not supposed to start it in gear owen

engine running you run and get a bit of sped up and gently snick it into first and then practice clutchless gearchanges

I made it all the way back from Fort Dunree up by Buncrana only stopping a mile from my house due to a mistimed junction

Betty Swollocks was laughing them off at that stage :D

Thanks doc! Trouble was, I've got a tank bag on the rear seat ( looks great - works great) that was full off food, beer and stuff. No hope of running with it and snicking it into gear and throwing the leg over. When extended the bag is about 10 inches tall.

Must practice your method some time though. Makes much more sense.

Feck sake OWen with the length of your legs you should be able just to step over that wee bag :aidan :aidan :aidan
