1st service charge

I have just found out today that my dealer (BluebellBMW - Crewe) is going to charge me £220 for my first service.

This sounds a little over the top to me and wondered whether I can take it to another dealer or does mine have to do it?

Most dealers throw in the first service with the purchase of the bike. Happened with both of mine at different dealers.

Best offer now seems to be you only pay for the parts at around £40 or near £200 if you include the labour. The strange thing being that the parts seem to be more expensive when you have to apy for the labour

Maybe the nice ones are only charging the parts at cost

servicing charge

I was led to believe that BMW no longer (as of February 2006, if my memory serves me correctly)give the first service for free, and there was a little plastic sign on the counter in Charles Hursts when I asked about why i was paying for it.

So that's all right then.
