1150 GSA 2003...
please, I need to know what the connectors are called, that are part of the wiring loom - I have just had to take the starter out and cleaned shaft etc and all connections , but the fuse #3 has blown, hence no clock, and no power to the "Aux Sockets".
On the Adventure there are 2 sockets, ( 1 on plastic starter cover, the other by the fuel tank, on the beak bit).
So, some monkey has done a sh£$! job of re-wiring to the back of the front/beak socket, which I suspect has been intermittent and maybe shorts to the forks on full LH lock... !
I am going to need a new 2 pin socket that sits on the loom,( that connects to the rear of the socket) but have no idea what these are called, or if I can re-use the existing ? Looks to me as if they are kind of "crimped" on, and need a special tool to to fit one to the loom- I think the one that's there is buggered
Any ideas - ??
Finally, am I right in thinking that the front "Aux" socket is only live when ignition is on, - the socket by the starter is Live with ignition off ?
Any help appreciated, even smart-arse replies, as long as they're actually funny
