Yes, I know my LC had built in Garmin wiring, but I will be using my old Zumo 550 for a while.

All my previous BMs have had a built in connector on the loom which allows Nippy Normans lead to connect a GPS ( or other) into the canbus, usually located under the headstock somewhere.

My NN lead has a Zumo mount connected to it, but where is the socket on the new LC

They're always difficult to find.

Thanks,

Dave

I have just fitted 4 GPS devices with the lead to older models from 08 up to to 13 plates. All of the plugs to connect to were hiding in different places under the fairing. Have you sorted yours yet?

Nope,

Collecting the bike tomorrow and I'd like to be able to drive home with my Zumo 550 connected, so I really need to know where it is now. No guarantee the dealer will know..

Found it.

One of the bikes at the dealers was in bits so I could see it.

To get at it, remove the screen, then remove the top cover which houses the GPS. Two torx bolts and two nasty little expanding plastic fittings which pull out when you've unscrewed the .. crosshead screw. Just pull it up then.

If you have the nav pre-fit then just follow the leads to the socket. Disconnect and plug in your Nippy Normans lead.

The you just have to mount it......

I'm working on a 10mm bolt that holds the hand grips and switchgear onto the aluminium handlebar. That should take a Ram ball to connect to the Zumo mount.
