2-up GSA chased by Tracer

Whatever your opinion of the rider and BTW I thought he was excellent and making full use of the road, the point of the video is that the GS is a very capable bike and not some fuddy duddy old bus. There is many a sports bike rider who have been surprised at just how agile the GS on a twisty road.

I also think the video showed how, because of the telelever suspension, the GS can be braked into a corner and certainly the guy on the Tracer was well impressed by its ability to do just that.

I also don't believe the GS was in the same group as the Tracer as some people seem to think.

I looked at the points raises by wrinkly and don't think he came anywhere near hitting the wall but taking a wide line and then modulating his speed for the next corner.

I know its in an alien language but the text on the video might help.

I can't give a flying fuck how he is riding. It does not concern me or affect any of us. To me it shows a fantastic road worth visiting next time any of us go down for the Bol d'or. It also seems there is quite a few riding gods on here quick to point out errors in others way of riding. You must be shitting yourself on Sundays judging the crotch rocket riders out for their monthly sprint. A bike can only be ridden as good as it's rider is regardless of what you may think.

Tidy post. :thumb

"Left the road"

In my humble opinion he is using ALL the road and opening the view for the next left hander. Tidy riding.
My only issue would be areas of road not normally subject to traffic has debris.

Quite straight forward really

Ride like that and you ARE going to crash ,, only a matter of time :thumb2

Just to clarify one point: the GSA and tracer riders do not know each other and are not part of the same group ( judging by the dialogue at the end).

And I was impressed by the BM rider's use of all of the road (subject to all of the wise comments that preceded this post, of course :augie)

You could argue that ride a motorcycle long enough and you are going to crash for certain.

The only certainty is that you are going to die at some point in your life.

Agreed, he was just setting up as far outside as he could, with a quick dab of the brakes to set his speed. He seemed to be smooth and in control for the most part, except for a couple of dickish passes.

I admit, I'd leave more margin for error, especially with my wife on the back. I stay in my lane rather than using the whole road like they were, and I don't trust my fellow drivers here in the US to stay on their side of the centerline, so I try to make sure I'm at least 2 feet from it in any corner I can't see through. Gotta admit, though, when I was in my early 30's I used to ride a lot like that guy (minus the pillion).

Can't understand all the positive comments.

This is not complicated - the GSA's lines are crap and he is frequently in a dangerous position on the road. His lines are so wrong, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a Brit, used to riding on the other side of the road. If he persists in riding like that, he will come unstuck before too long. Yes he rides smoothly; yes he rides quickly but the real art is doing both of those and riding safely too.

5/10 at best in my book - and that's generous...

I've seen the time of the last post and taken it into account that your more than likely pissed.... Oh have a couple of these as well :rob:rob

It is very difficult to judge just how fast he/they were going. Wide angle lenses distort the sense of speed. I do feel the guy on the Tracer took more chances though. Always surprises me with helmet mounted cameras how little head movement there is.
