Hi folks

I’m going down to one bike, so this is up for sale. It has been stripped, rebuilt and improved while in my ownership. So I’m looking for offers around £3750.

The base bike is a well cared for 2001 640 Adventure, with just under 22k miles.

I’ve stripped the frame and running gear back, strengthened the rear subframe, and renewed all bearings, bushes and seals.

Front and rear suspension has been serviced by a WP specialist, and uprated springs fitted (originals are available)

I didn’t do much to the engine - the previous owner sent it to Mike Overy, who fitted a new starter, sprag clutch and some other parts to it.

I have changed the head for a High Flow, and replaced the slightly worn camshaft for a very good used one. All engine hoses are new silicone.

I’ve fitted a Chinese copy FCR41 pumper carb, with new throttle and cables, and a Magura hydraulic clutch. Good quality Acerbis hand guards have also been added, along with aftermarket led indicators.

The carbon tank guards are in excellent condition and I’ve fitted a carbon screen extender.

It has new MotoZ tyres and tubes.

All parts removed will be provided.

I’ll add pics separately.

Thanks Hustler! And a little more than 49 Hp with the pumper carb, comp exhaust and hi flow head.

I should also have mentioned that the bike doesn’t currently have an mot, I’ll sort that next week.

Still available - I’d consider a swap for a TC 1200RT, ST1300, K1300GT if anyone wants to trade?

I’m reviewing the fleet, so might keep this and free up the DesertX instead. I know which one I feel happier throwing at the scenery.
