The bike was actually even better than I thought it would be.

The Andy Strapz panniers were brilliant too.With the Linerz,I can just drop them in and be ready as quick as I would have been on the GSA.

Plus the bike is much narrower for filtering etc.

I wasn't 100% sure I made the right decision to trade the GSA in for the K1300S,but the SE does everything that the GSA did and more.

It's a lot lighter and more flickable,much faster,same range,better comfort and I prefer the the clean air around the small screen-I never found the GSA that good as there was too much buffeting,though it was improved with the Desierto III I fitted.


It's definitely a keeper.

thats great, i had a sit on a 1300 at SLM last week hmmm a beast for sure:D as for the ktm the 950 with carbs is such a superior ride to the 990:thumb2

I don't think that you are supposed to enjoy yourself on an SE on the road and then tell BMW riders about it.
