Hi everyone,
I have owned my bike from new, having done 75000 miles the throttle bodies where getting worn,I had them reconditioned by "Scriminger Engineering"who made a first class job at a reasonable price.I have fitted new choke/throttle cables,it was then plugged into the diagnostic computer where the TPS and cables where set and was running alright that was on the journey home.Just returned from a run this morning and i am getting a constant surging,as i hold the twist grip in one position, say 35000 revs it is rising to about 38000 on its own and dropping back again and does this throughout the ref range. As anybody else had this problem on a high mileage bike, any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read the above.
Ian.

Mine was solved by valve adjustment inc end float and TB setup. Im on 60k and after having it setup reduced surging to a min.:thumb2

Im a bit baffled then but no doubt someone will have the solution shortly for you :thumb2

it wasnt surging before , so its not a chip he needs,
balance the injectors again, just in case,

Ahem If ya have a good look around and make sure all is well intake maniflods are secure, wee rubber diddies are on the vacuum take off points and not missing?

Try a set of plugs

Original Part information
Manufacturer Type Part number
AUTOLITE spark plug 3923

Champion Equivalent Part number Price (each) Buy RC9YC4 1.92

I did some research and found that the V groove plug BKR sumthin or other for the landrover freelander has the correct heat range length and thread for My RS They've been in there 6,000 miles and so far no problems!
