2003 R1150GSA Gearbox/Final Drive Oil

Thought to Treat the bike to a Transmission oil change next weekend as the weather is looking a bit iffiy.

Any prefered brand or just any well known brand 80w90 GL5?

Any decent oil will do However I tend to use 87W140 in the FD these days

All GL 5

Have you done the clutch fluid??

Obviously a typo on the oil it was later than my usual bedtime 85W 140 GL5 or anything viscous like that 75W 130 90 W140 etc etc

Ha ha, I know that feeling well. This hot weather keeps up will certainly need the 140!

I migrated to the "heavier" oil it after a couple of 1150 FD's wore out after only 20 ish K

I had been using 75W90 Fully synth quite a few have well over 50K on them from another rebuild and a change to 85W140
