So I'm putting up my US import GTR 1000 Concours up for sale for a bargain UKGSer price to you fine folk😀👍

Last of the original GTR with plenty of US mods and great all-round condition. MOT until next September and 34 k miles. All the original sales docs, receipts, Concours panniers and extras, a few spare bits and a Clymer manual.
I'm based in Aberdeen but I will be travelling to NW England to pick up the replacement garage queen...😆 It had been very heavily refreshed by an OCD chap when I bought it and is still very good...

I bought this as a pressie to myself in summer 2024 and have covered approx 4k miles... It doesn't get enough use and it's 3rd choice in my garage with my 11GS and ST11. Its been the garage queen and now I want something else...👍😂
A couple of photos to get started and a on the slim off chance that a UKGSer would like, I'm fine for a good chat.
1st Kwak for me and TBH I'm really done with straight 4s.
I'll give it a few days on here before the general public...😂
It's a decent ride but I need to be shorter and it needs using more regularly or be a tinker/pamper bike to be at its best.
£1100 to UKGSers at this slow time of year and less than half of what I paid in 2024... PM if interested... 👍

I had one of these in the same colour till I wrote it off in 1998. Utterly brilliant bike, fast, comfortable and you can do long rides effortlessly.
A bargain winter hack/cheap tourer for someone.
Good luck with the sale.

That's one of the probs... I have my hack tractor GS and my scruffy ST and the GTR is in great nick so would be great for a better classic style bike as the US market kept these 80s 90s bikes going as they were so popular... Probably the most effective standard screen and mirrors on any of these tourers... 👍

I might be wrong, but I think the GTR 1000 was the first bike with radial tyres.
Stand corrected if it wasn't but I seem to remember an advert proclaiming such.

Not sure but I remember someone like Performance Bikes doing a test with a K and something else and liking it best because it handled... This one has later front wheel and brake size...

Just on the remote chance this may be of interest to UKGSers I am willing to talk on price as the next garage queen is lined up already... 👍😂

I'll be firing it on eBay etc from early in the week...

PM sent , but I'm guessing you'll know that before reading this !!

I had the 1000rx in the day, chain drive but toured all over two up with it and throw over panniers down into Spain and East and Southern Europe. GTR had the shaft and bigger fairing but the engines were awesome. This will be a fantastic budget buy for someone

Thanks everyone... The GTR has raised interest from a fellow UKGSer and we are devising a plan...👍
