I am a retired IAM observer, owned this bike from new and had it meticulously maintained.Not seeing on the market what would meet my riding requirements, I decided to have the bike fully
stripped and re-built.
The project was undertaken by Mike at Fast Bike Servicing (https://www.fastbikeservicing.co.uk/)
in January 2025 and was completed in April 2026 at a cost of £6,000. The entire engine and the
drive train were re-built with parts that needed to be replaced - replaced (incl. new clutch).
The frame, wheels, etc. were ceracoat-treated, rusty bolts re-placed. Electrics - checked and
worn parts re-placed.
All-in-all, at the end I had a "new motorcycle" that still needs its "first" 1,000 mile service
