2006 vs 2010 link pipe size

i bought a new end can for my 2006 adv. when i tried fitting the link pipe, i noticed the diameter was too large to fit on the header pipe and was just wondering if they may have sent the wrong link pipe. does anyone know if the link pipe on a 2010 has a greater diameter than a 2006 gs
