Yeah blame the wife on that one,:blast having said that we were probaly all huddled together to stay dry and warm, as it was Fekin cold first thing up there

Good pics Knobby, thanks for posting. My bike (No. 71) looks so clean before the start. Hours of jet washing and its still not back to that state. Probably need to strip it down to get all the bits out.

Great fun event, can't wait until next one. :)

Tidworth Enduro/H&H info for beginners

9 laps well done, you know what class that puts you in !

Anyone interested in the Tidworth event is welcome to come along on the Saturday before a race and help lay out the course, it is a good stretch of the legs and Martin may even let you use his big hammer, to drive in a few direction stakes.

Thanks to Bakerman we had on site catering this year midway through laying out the course, fantastic !

Adults and kids are welcome to help out, it is probably one of the few times you can get into the tank practice areas without the Land Warden shoo- ing you off and have a good wander around. No riding on Saturday (Preparation day) other than the Clerk of the course. No riding on Sunday, unless you are entered.

But please do turn up on your ride, our idle members love bike chat.

Course marking gives you a good idea of what the riders tackle or by lending a hand you can know you made the riders a challenge in the actual layout and watch the result on the Sunday.

Attractions; you can visit 'Bakermans Puddle' it is hard to miss (not).

Or keep an eye for the famous :aidan:aidan:aidanBustard, 10+ years and no sign yet !

We cover 5 or 6 miles of Salisbury plain, a good working ramble.

We are trying to make the course more challenging for the regulars, but at the same time keep it rideable for all levels, so if you can deal with a slippery green lane and don't mind hitting the deck now and again (usually a roll off), you can ride at Tidworth.

The obstacles or ruts have to be laid in such a way that a fast moving bike can skip over the top, but a novice can ride into or around the awkward bit.
Like everthing it is all about keeping moving, not necessarily speed but consistancy over the three hour race.

The thing about riding in a H&H's is not the bike you ride, it's how you ride it !

If you are hungry for more get on the website and watch out for the next event.:aidan:aidan
