2008 1200GS

Just been browsing on the main Motorrad site, the new GS is now configurable. Seems cheaper than the previous model at £8601 with no frilly bits. Do you think they have made a mistake with the price? Noticed it doesn't have hand guards or panniers brackets as standard. I don't suppose it will have a tool kit either. Do BMW still only supply one key?

If it hasn't got hand guards fitted as standard it probably wasn't a UK spec bike like the ones at the Bike Show. UK bikes will all have them as standard. I've just ordered a 2008 GS1200 and I think the basic price quoted was £9100. It went up somewhat after upping the spec with lots of toys.

You may need to check the price with a dealer, as I believe the price on the web site is wrong and will probably be changed.
