Just got this message from Andy Cadney of Big bike challange

Apologies for the lackadaisical performance in '07. However work is calming down enough to allow much more effort for next year.

And it has already started, I've completely revamped the site, see it at http://www.bigbikechallenge.co.uk/ Content is currently much the same but will soon be updated.

All marking is done, and the winners declared. We are having a prize giving at the Dirt Bike Show, Saturday the 8th, 1pm on the KTM stand for Brian Eland and Seamus Sorohan (06) and BMW stand 1.30pm for Noel Fletcher and the 'Best BMW' winners.

The challenge will definitely happen for '08, with marking done reasonably promptly. Stickers will also definitely happen for '08 so plan to enter an event so you can get yours.

Finally, with the help of Pat Keenan, we considering running a, hardest of the hard, 'Premier Champioship'. This will take in the Dawn to Dusk, and at least three other hard rallies, possibly including the Welsh Baja.

I've spoken to Nick Plumb, organiser of the D2D, about and he is enthusiastic, possibly organising a seperate area in the pits for big bikes.

It won't be easy though, experienced riders only, I'd say!

More news soon.

Cheers
Andy Cadney

I like the sound of this.... I'll enter under fool hardiest of the hard ;-)

It would be good to see a few more big bikes at the D2D

is anyone doing the 'Son of Dawn to Dusk'

Its a cut down (obviously) version of the main event on 2nd March for all those who can't wait till the real thing.

Excuse the fact that I am a complete novice and a Tosser to boot...
The Cambrian Rally takes my interest with small amounts of motorcross experience and youth on my side (I don't know whether thats good or bad).
But I am trouble finding proper info on it, as well as contact details on how to enter and what is required etc.
Any help would be much appriciated as usual.
Also if I travelled down alone, I take it there would be Gsers there for me to buy a beer and while away the hours with.
Cheers
Tosser class 1

red kite eh... where abouts is that then?!?!
I'll try and find some info, will Gser's be attending or do most take their slimer/lighter steeds?

Would love to go BUT . RED Kite

it clashes with the GS Meeting in Belgium , and over there we got 2 days offroading for 60 euro's and that includes the food , Red Kite is a Good event, there seems to be a move from gsers using there twins and singles , to using the GSlite version
if the weather is good a cracking event, and i would be there only for the clash.
there are 6 of us over from ireland going to belgium for the full fat event ... and a few belgium beers
